POETRY

Refugees
Refugees...stripped of all but our dignity we escape into the hills and forests seeking peace and solace in the bosom of the earth...Searching for signs of life...Groping thru the cold, lifeless remains of humanity digested by the Beast. Homeless and dispossessed...longing for the Promised Land...We have forsaken the mark. Driven underground by the oppression of a maniacal society of pain...retreating from the towns where we have been reduced to scavengers, beggars, and thieves...but alas, society will make slaves of us yet...they pull over our caravans, invade our camps, scatter our sacred circles, confiscating our sacraments and our sacred medicines...bringing weapons of war into our circles of peace, invading our churches and taking our brothers and sisters by force into captivity...they scour the hills, blazing wide trails thru the forests...they poison our water and set fire to our crops...they have no respect for our sanctuary...no reverence for the earth...their time will come...they are a cursed people...the earth will swallow them whole and spit out their bones...their empires will crumble...their kingdoms will fall...the meek will inherit the earth...even thru the concrete and asphalt that they have built their kingdoms upon...I hear the blood of my people crying from the ground...forgiveness is such an easy word to say.
Bricks
We were forced by The Man to bake bricks in the sun...tirelessly laboring to build a kingdom that we or our children would share no part in...The Man set his throne above the heavens and proclaimed his "Law" the word of "God" and claimed that the word came before Life...His words are meaningless...he speaks of heaven but he knows nothing of the heavens...we laugh at this ignorant man who claims the divine authority of a supreme being because we know that everything, including the bricks his empire is made of, came from the sun...and to the sun all things will return. The age of Aquarius is nigh, the revenge of the water boy...he will overturn the tables of the money changers...Death and Life are not in the power of the tongue but in the Sun and the seas.
Traveler's Battle-Cry
Craving inspiration…looking, longing for something real to hold on to…I return to the never-ending black snake that climbs the hills and descends into the valleys forever chasing the edge of the world…and I find abundant empty traces, signs that show the way…those places in between…eternal hope’s bright rays…that cut thru the pines and light my path back home, but my home is where my heart is so forever I will roam…but I’m not empty any longer I was lost but now I’m found, and I’m calling for the gathering of the remnant with the sound of a magic conch shell come on people gather round…Come you scattered people prepare yourselves for war, beat your plowshares into swords and be oppressed and scorned no more. We are the people and we’ve got to fight our cause because the devils on the loose and he’s sharpening his claws. Pyramids and towers reaching to the sun…tears falling from the sky land on everyone.
Round and Round...
As the world spins round and round...
The subjects of the kingdoms toil beneath the wrath of the sons of ancient patriarchs...
Heirs of thrones consumed by the zeal of their father’s house.
As the world spins round and round...
The Warriors Unite...
Led by the Rebel Sons of Perdition...
Those first-born sons of the Earth who were robbed of their blessing, castrated, bastardized and exiled.
The Slaves Revolt...
Fighting against the oppression of tyrants bent on the conquest of the very substance and essence of Nature and the Human Spirit...
As the world spins round and round...
The Empire Falls...
But soon another temple will be erected from the ruins of the old...
And once again the earth will be soaked with the blood of brothers slaying brothers.
The generations will forever be haunted by the blood of the martyrs crying from the ground.
As the world spins round and round.
Crumbling Castle
You say you're gonna rumble, you think you're standing tall...Your castle's gonna crumble. Your kingdoms' gonna fall.
You're collecting money from everyone you meet, you think you're gonna rule, sit in the judgment seat. You're building up your kingdom, storing all your wealth, peddling salvation, drawing followers to your self. Fighting tooth and nail, preaching in the street, you say "God" is your Father but you bow at Satan's feet. Are you serving God or money? Do you curse or bless the poor? When a prophet knocks, do you close your ears and lock your door? You use God's name in vain. You set your throne above, consumed with greed and power while proclaiming "peace" and "love".
You say you're gonna rumble, you think you're standing tall...Your castle's gonna crumble. Your kingdom's gonna fall.
The temple's that you've built will soon be turned to dust, not one stone left unturned, consumed by moths and rust. The remnant will be called forth, united by the sound; the vine will wrap around the pillars and tear your kingdom down. The grass grows through the cracks, turning mortar into dust, the earth will swallow you, your graven images will bust. You heed the call of nations but ignore your brethren at your door, you set up markets in your tabernacles and exploit and use the poor. Looking to the sky you claim to hear the call, you prophesy a lie but a hard rain's gonna fall.
You say you're gonna rumble, you think you're standing tall...Your castle's gonna crumble. Your kingdom's gonna fall.
You've turned a house of prayer into a den of thieves, you're blinded by hypocrisy and you're spreading your disease. You talk about "Redemption" and then speak of "holy" war, if "God" is on your side then what are you fighting for? Beat your swords into plowshares and maybe then you will bear fruit; the branches have taken arms and cut the vine off at the root. You say you're filled with "the spirit" yet defend an unjust war, I think you're filled with something else and it's evil to the core.
You say you're gonna rumble, you think you're standing tall...Your castle's gonna crumble. Your kingdom's gonna fall.
You call good what is evil and evil what is good...rejected those you can't control and brain-washed those you could. Repent you false shepherds those who rule with an iron rod, humble yourselves before the Sun or face the wrath of God. God lives in his people, Love will reign supreme. The curtain you have woven will be ripped from seam to seam.
Mechanical Pharaoh
We have deified the man and hailed him as our king. But this thing we call 'The Man' is actually machine. With the gears and bells and whistles, no organs, flesh or skin. Hollow bones with no marrow, no shining light within...We're trapped in the belly of the beast machine of war, searching for redemption, looking for a door. It’s we that built the beast. For its ends we slave and toil, we offer up our sacrifice, it thirsts for blood and oil. We built it from the ruins of the temple of old, appointed a high priest, our allegiance we then sold. We built our pyramids, our towers to the sky, and when a prophet shows another way, him we crucify. We nail him to a cross. Treason is his crime. He’s suspended on the axis that marks the space and time. We rebuild the temple, sew the curtain that was torn and slaughter all the children from the revolution born... The Man says, "We must keep the secret safe, the illusion he revealed. The truth he told is dangerous it must be concealed. To keep it under wraps we must censor everyone, and keep them busy with our work baking bricks under the sun. Who will build our pyramids if they escape across the sea? This job is for the serfs and peasants not for kings like me. We must rig the game to ensure that they stay poor, but if they don't cooperate we'll just have to import more."

By the hand of slaves
Perceptions of reality...Illusions of the mind...
words of oracles and prophets enchanted all mankind
young men seeing visions, old men dreaming dreams,
the curtain has been re-woven, mended at the seams...
the slaves rebuilt the temples from the ruins of the old...
no one asked the reason Why...they just did what they were told.
Who am I to ask the reason why?...but I ask it just the same.
In the end it is only we to blame.
Slaves have built the empires...we've created our own prisons.
The shackles that bind us were forged with our own hands.
The majority of men are enslaved by our own stomachs
We stretch out our hands to receive the burnt bread and bitter wine of our captors...
We bow our heads reverently...humbly taking our sacraments...the payment for our allegiance.
If the empire will fall it must be by our own hands
We can either accept our fate or exchange our lives for the hope that our children will be free.
We choose to live with a yoke on our back or die with a sword in our hands.
Septembers Harvest
Ripe fields of grain now worthless stubble, the towers of Babel now lie in rubble, Destruction reigns and death abounds how long Gabriel till your trumpet sounds? The wine press overflows , crushing grapes of wrath, the locusts have invaded leaving nothing in their path. Like dawn creeping over the mountain the army has arrived, before them the garden of Eden, behind them nothing survives. Shadows shifting like the moon eclipsing, darkening the sky, invading the promised land replacing truth with lies. The stench of death rises upward from the parched and barren land, the army of the locusts more numerous than grains of sand. The Saints rise up triumphant and prepare themselves for war, they beat their plowshares into swords they’ll be oppressed and scorned no more. The Saints rise up triumphant the lord is on their side. His trumpet sounds in Zion, his strength he will provide. Building their temples on shifting sands, longing for the garden searching for the Promised Land. Re-building the towers from the ruins and the stones, the walls are getting higher around this valley of dead bones, The rocks are crying out but they keep turning them to bread, drowsy heavy slumber as they lie starving though well-fed. The twelve tribes are fighting, we all struggle with God. All under the rein of one king who rules the nations with an iron rod.
Wheel of Vanity
As all the rivers flow into a bottomless sea, we’re all spinning round in a wheel of vanity, the wise man dies just the same as the fool, his wages divided for strangers to rule. From ashes to ashes and dust to dust, we come as we go and go we must. We toil all day for our wages to spend what profit has he that labor for the wind. For whom do you labor where does your treasure lie? Eat drink and dance for tomorrow we die. He that sows tears will reap what he’s sown. Who will lift up he that falleth alone? The thing that has been it is that which shall be, nothing is new that the eye can see… we’re all spinning round in a wheel of vanity.
The Tyrant is a Slave.
The spider is a slave to her web, The tyrant is a slave to his throne, the hand a slave to the stomach, they all end up dying alone…the fish is a slave to the ocean, the worm a slave to the soil, the farmer slaves in his garden with painful labor and toil. Love is the only redemption, the balance of darkness and light, death is the only forgiveness, the morning comes after the night.

Dualities of One
Death...Life…Beginning…End…
The empire crumbles to be rebuilt again.
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust
Treasures destroyed by moths and rust
Good…Evil…Darkness…Light.
The void and the substance
The wrong and the right
Reflections…Shadows…Laughter… Tears…
The pains and the joys
the love and the fears.
Shadows…Illusions…Bodies…Souls…
The times and the places
the fire and the coals.
Destruction…Creation… The Light of the Sun.
Someday we'll all return to the One.
Revolution
These walls in my mind create darkness and confusion, my perception of separateness is merely an illusion, the only thing that separates me and God is me. My fear is a dam that keeps the river from the sea, the darkness is blinding I can’t see my wealth, I’m searching for a light that shines deep inside myself . searching and searching, true love I must find it’s deep within my soul buried neath my troubled mind…who’s gonna stop these wheels in my head? They turn round and round keep me tossing in my bed oscillating cycles the hands on the clock keep turning round and round, tick tock, tick tock, the pendulum swings left then too far to the right, searching for a balance, a way to end the fight, action to reaction, extreme to extreme. Control to rebellion remove the speck and then the beam. We’re traveling in circles whether vicious or sublime, creating the reality of matter space and time, how many revolutions will we make around the sun till we see thru the illusion and realize we are one. When we see the truth the lie will disappear. When we learn to truly love there will be no death or fear. We’d rather point our fingers instead of lifting up our hands instead of singing praises we shout our demands looking for salvation in the shifting changing sands… the hourglass is turned, the time is at hand, minutes pass by and it starts all over again. the same sand flows, flows so endlessly, different faces but in the end, it leads back to you and me. The path of our lives, we think we’re going somewhere, but the higher that we climb the more we wonder if it’s there. In the end we all begin, in the beginning we all end. Another revolution, it starts all over again. We run away to the west, trying to catch the sun. But we waste our time at best when we forget that we are one. They say time is all we have but we have so much more. We’re stuck in the middle looking for a door, does anybody know what all of this is for?...feel think touch be. Speak the truth and it will set you free. Flow like a river, flow to the sea. Carve the canyons as you go. Create and form the earth below. The moon pulls in the tide the sun gathers the seas for rain. Be a part of the whole or you’ll live your life in vain.sea, clouds, earth, sky, nations and tribes and you and I we’re all born to live and die, evaporate and ascend on high. Give, receive, trust, believe, fall like the rain and water the trees flow like a river flow to the seas. All of the planets revolve around the sun all of the seven seas are one. All of the nations and tribes of men we’ll all return to one again. Recognize, open up your eyes. God will part the eastern skies. He does it every day. See the sun rise it separates the truth from lies. The truth the life the way. Realize we’re a part of the whole deep inside we share the same soul keep your eyes upon the goal soon will come the day…when the trumpet calls all our idols and walls will all come crashing down and the peasants will receive a crown and kings will be ruled by their slaves, and all will know the Sun that saves when the dead rise from their graves. The meek will inherit the earth, at the end there will be a new birth. Birth to death, beginning to end, the revolution starts all over again. Oscillating cycles, the seasons and the years the days and the reasons the laughter and the tears we’ve replaced them with schedules and machines and clocks and gears the world hasn’t been turning fast enough all these years lets hit fast-forward so we don’t have to face our fears . the tower getting closer, closer to the sky, there is no more confusion we’ve replaced it with a lie, that we’ll never die as long as there’s a pill for everything and the sun won’t shine tomorrow if the alarm clock doesn’t ring and unless we write the melody the mocking bird wont sing, does anybody know what all of this is for? Everything I thought I needed I realize is just a door and it leads me back to you.
So I sit here in darkness facing towards the east with hope for tomorrow and no fear of the beast, I know that the greatest will soon become the least. If I find where it started the place it all began, I’ll find myself standing a humble little man, stripped of everything nothing in my hands and it leads me back to you. Illuminate my eyes, separate the truth from lies. I’m waiting on the sun to rise. Shine thru the windows of my soul.
Child of the Sun
Washed clean by the tides of reason
unknown comes the child...
Unraveled by the sands of time...
Baptized by salty foam...
The moon at its fullest hour pulls gingerly...
tugging...pulling...
Wake up oh Sleeper!
Rise...child of the night...child of the sea
Rise!
Rise to meet the morning long before it comes...
Usher in the new beginning...
Rise as the midnight dew gathers on the grass
and come to me in my dreams...
I see you in my minds eye...
leading me by the hand...
thru the gates the garden awaits...
you lead me there without a care
across the desert sands
where I have long labored with painful toil...
Smiling...laughing...
you look back at me as I follow you into the mist...
Lead me to the garden immortal one.
Lead me to the Sun.
Stand, Sit, Walk
Stand on the shoulders of giants. Sit on the scare-crows head.
Walk on the road less traveled and piss on the devils bed.
Eat wild locusts and honey. Speak only words that are true.
Laugh cuz this world is so funny. Sing whether happy or blue.
Sleep under stars in the heavens. Look at the man in the moon.
Live like there is no tomorrow. Dance to the piper’s tune.
